SPID Help Desk: Prepare Attachments Under 2 MB

Prepare readable error screenshots or an ordinary PDF for a SPID Help Desk ticket, within the two-attachment limit.

Official help page and public ticket form checked on 24 September 2026. PDFMinto is independent of SPID and AgID. This is a technical attachment guide, not an identity-registration service.

Check the help-desk limits

The SPID Help Desk lists a maximum of two attachments, up to 2 MB each. PDF, JPG and PNG are among its accepted formats. The public “Problemi con SPID” ticket form links to these limits. They concern support tickets, not every SPID provider’s identity-verification process.

First check whether your question belongs at this help desk or with your identity provider. The help-desk homepage directs provider-specific questions to the provider. No document is automatically required merely because an attachment field exists.

Choose useful evidence before converting

For a technical problem, a readable screenshot of the error can help explain what happened. This is a practical suggestion, not an official requirement to submit screenshots or identity documents. Keep the error text and relevant context, and avoid including passwords, one-time codes or unrelated personal information.

If one or two JPG/PNG screenshots already meet the limit, keep them in their original format. A PDF is optional. PDFMinto does not redact information; prepare a safe working copy with a suitable tool before choosing any server processing.

Put related screenshots into one PDF when useful

If several JPG/PNG screenshots explain the same issue, open Images to PDF, arrange them in the intended reading order and correct rotation. Choose fit-to-image or A4, create the PDF and download it. Check that every error message remains readable.

Assembly runs locally in your browser and may increase file size. The tool accepts up to 40 files, 30 MB total input and 24 megapixels per image. These are PDFMinto limits. It does not crop, perform OCR or repair blurred text. Do not add irrelevant material merely because a PDF can contain more pages.

Create a PDF from related screenshots

Compress an oversized ordinary PDF

For an ordinary PDF, choose a custom compression target of 1.9 MB, or 1,900,000 bytes, as an optional margin below 2 MB. This is our suggestion, not an additional help-desk rule. Check the actual downloaded size and target status: choosing a target does not guarantee reaching it.

Compression processes the file on the server with temporary private Vercel Blob storage. It accepts ordinary PDFs up to 30 MB and 200 pages, and rejects encrypted, digitally signed and interactive-form PDFs. Preserve protected originals. The screenshot-to-PDF step being local does not make subsequent compression local.

Review the exact attachments before sending

Open the final files, compare page count and order, and zoom in on the error text. Keep each attachment within the stated limit and the total count within two. The official limits page does not specify a page count, resolution or exact byte interpretation of MB.

If the output is unreadable or still too large, choose clearer, more relevant source screenshots or ask the appropriate support channel for guidance. Return to the official form to describe the problem and attach your checked files. PDFMinto does not submit tickets, solve authentication problems or guarantee acceptance.

Frequently asked questions

Must I turn every screenshot into PDF? No. JPG and PNG are also listed as accepted formats.

Can PDFMinto reduce JPG size directly? This guide uses conversion followed by optional PDF compression; it does not promise a JPG-compression tool.

Does the 2 MB rule apply to SPID registration? This source documents help-desk attachments only. Follow your provider’s instructions for registration.

Is a small file necessarily useful evidence? No. Readability, relevant context and a clear problem description still matter.
