A few things worth knowing

Can every PDF fit under 2MB?

Not always. Images and existing compression affect the result. Text-only or optimized files may barely shrink. If the target cannot be reached, try a larger limit or split the document in its original software.

Will text or images change?

We do not turn whole pages into images or remove pages. Image compression can blur scanned text, so check the preview. Forms, signed documents and encrypted PDFs are not supported yet.

Why does it say my file already fits?

If your file is already below the target, we keep the original. Use it as it is, or choose a smaller target.

Why might my upload still be rejected?

We use 1MB = 1,000,000 bytes. Other services may apply different limits or additional checks. Try a slightly smaller target and follow the upload form’s requirements.

Your file is only used for this compression.

Files are processed by our service. On the hosted version, encrypted private Vercel Blob storage temporarily holds file parts. We delete them after your browser receives the result or the task fails; a daily cleanup removes expired interrupted tasks. Local processing files are deleted when the task ends. We do not log file contents or names. Previews stay in your browser session.
