Check the upload set, not just one PDF
The linked instructions prefer PDF, set a 10 MB total maximum, recommend less than 5 MB and allow at most 10 files. Treat the total separately from individual file sizes; the recommendation is not another allowance. Check the live field instructions before submission.
Relevant documents include identity, payment evidence where needed, the degree, academic certification and applicable translations, legalisation or apostille. Use the official document categories and naming instructions. This article addresses file preparation, not whether your qualifications or documents meet recognition requirements.
1. Inventory the complete set
Keep untouched originals. Make a list of the files you actually need, their categories and byte sizes. Add the sizes together before changing anything. Do not merge every category into one PDF simply to reduce the file count: follow the separate fields in the application.
As a working example, three files of 4 MB each total 12 MB. Making each one smaller than 5 MB would still leave that set too large. Allocate a smaller budget to each file and leave space for the remaining documents. This example is arithmetic, not a ministry-prescribed allocation.
2. Assemble only ordinary scanned copies
If one document consists of JPG or PNG scans, arrange them in Images to PDF, correct orientation and export. If its pages are already separate ordinary PDFs, use Merge PDF in the required order. Keep every required page, stamp, reverse side and translation together as the application requires.
These tools run locally in the browser and accept up to 40 inputs and 30 MB total, with up to 200 PDF pages; images are limited to 24 megapixels each. PDF inputs containing annotations, embedded attachments, signatures, interactive forms or encryption are unsupported. Preserve such originals and obtain an acceptable copy or official guidance instead.
3. Compress the largest eligible PDF against its budget
Open Compress PDF and select a custom target appropriate to that document’s share of the total. Download the result, check its actual byte size and update your inventory. Repeat only where needed. A selected target is not proof that compression succeeded.
Compression runs on the server using temporary private Vercel Blob storage, with an input limit of 30 MB and 200 pages. It cannot guarantee a target or official acceptance. Do not process digitally signed, encrypted or interactive-form PDFs. Do not delete required pages or rasterise whole pages to manufacture a smaller file.
4. Review the final files and finish the official upload
Open every saved result and compare it with the original. Check page count and order, names, dates, small transcript entries, stamps, apostilles, translations and orientation. If compression makes evidence unclear, return to the source export or ask the ministry how to provide it. Do not submit an unreadable result simply because its bytes fit.
Recalculate the total from the exact files you will upload, check their count and names, and leave a margin below the displayed limits. Wait for each upload to finish and follow the official submission steps yourself. Save the receipt provided by the portal. PDFMinto does not submit the application, translate or legalise documents.
Frequently asked questions
Does a 4 MB file prove the application fits? No. Check the entire set and any limits shown by the individual upload fields.
Can I use PDFMinto to create split RAR archives? No. PDF processing and archive-volume splitting are different operations; do not treat page splitting as a substitute for archive instructions.
Should I compress a digitally signed certificate? No. Preserve the signed original; altering it can invalidate its signature.
What if the total still exceeds the limit? Keep the originals and ask the official help service for an acceptable route. Do not omit required evidence or assume another registration system has the same rules.
