Check your university’s document list
OUAC’s undergraduate upload section accepts selected supporting documents, with a maximum of 5 MB per PDF. Different documents must be uploaded as separate PDFs. Use filenames without special characters. Do not upload unlisted material: OUAC says it will not forward it.
The list varies by university. For example, York lists proof of status and unofficial transcripts; Ottawa directs applicants to uoZone. Do not assume that this upload replaces official transcript delivery. Consult your current application for required documents and deadlines.
Prepare a complete copy of one document
Keep originals untouched. For an ordinary transcript scan, check that all pages, edges, grades and stamps are present. Keep identity records and transcripts in separate files. Do not use an IRCC workflow to assemble your entire OUAC application.
If the pages of one document are JPG or PNG images, use Images to PDF, order them and download the result. Check that no edge was cropped. This runs in the browser; conversion may increase file size. Do not process signed, encrypted or interactive-form documents.
Compress only an oversized PDF
Open the compression tool and select the ordinary PDF. Try 4.8 MB as a custom target to leave a small margin below 5 MB; this is our suggestion, not an OUAC requirement. PDFMinto counts 1 MB as 1,000,000 bytes.
Compression uploads the document to the server; temporary processing files are deleted when the task ends. The input limit is 30 MB and 200 pages. A chosen target is not a guarantee: if the result is still too large, return to the source export or ask the university for guidance. Never remove required pages to meet the limit.
Inspect the exact file you will upload
Check the downloaded file’s actual byte size, page count and order. Zoom in on small text, dates and stamps and compare them with the original. Retain a clearer original when the reduced copy is hard to read.
Upload each applicable document separately in your own OUAC account. Review the filename and portal response before completing the application. File preparation does not establish authenticity, admission eligibility or institutional acceptance.
FAQ
Can I merge my passport and transcript? No: the cited guide requires different documents in separate PDF files.
Should I compress a readable PDF already below the limit? Usually no. Preserve the original when no size reduction is needed.
Can this repair a signed electronic certificate? No. Keep the original and obtain submission instructions from the institution.
Are 200 pages allowed by OUAC? That is PDFMinto’s processing ceiling, not an OUAC page allowance. The cited upload instructions do not establish a universal page or file-count allowance. Images to PDF supports up to 40 inputs, 30 MB total and 24 megapixels per image. It does not certify documents or perform OCR.
