1. Check the transcript field
The official FAQ describes a single PDF containing all your transcripts, with a 2 MB limit. Check the instructions in your own application before preparing the file. This limit is not a universal rule for every attachment; the FAQ gives no general page limit.
2. Gather complete, ordinary copies
Keep your originals. Put the required transcript pages in a clear sequence, checking both sides where relevant. Do not add your CV or unrelated application documents to this transcript file. PDFMinto does not decide which academic records or translations your application requires.
For JPG or PNG scans, open Images to PDF, arrange and rotate the pages, then download the PDF. For separate ordinary PDFs, use Merge PDF and check the order before downloading. Combining files can increase their size.
3. Measure, then compress if needed
Inspect the combined file size in bytes. If it is too large, open Compress PDF and try a custom target of 1.9 MB to leave some room below the stated limit. This is a suggested working target, not an official requirement or a guaranteed result. PDFMinto uses 1 MB = 1,000,000 bytes; follow any more specific limit shown by the portal.
Compression uploads the file directly to the server; temporary processing files are cleaned up when the task ends. It supports up to 30 MB and 200 pages. Download the result and check its actual size rather than relying on a rounded label. If it remains too large, keep the original and consider a more efficient source scan without losing detail.
4. Check every page before uploading
Compare the result with the originals: page count, order, student identity, course names, grades, dates, stamps and small print must remain readable. Do not remove required pages to meet the limit. A smaller file with missing or illegible marks is not a useful result.
Use a short filename with Latin characters, no spaces and no accents, such as releves.pdf. After uploading, use the download arrow beside the file in Mon Master and inspect that copy too. A successful download does not establish that your application is complete or accepted.
Protected PDFs and tool limits
Do not submit encrypted, digitally signed or interactive-form PDFs to PDFMinto. The browser PDF tools also reject annotations and attachments. The official FAQ has separate advice for protected records; consult the institution about a suitable submission copy and preserve the original. This guide does not recommend removing protection to bypass the tool checks.
Images to PDF and Merge PDF run in the browser with up to 40 inputs and 30 MB total; PDF inputs are limited to 200 pages and each image to 24 megapixels. These are product limits, not Mon Master rules. Compression may reduce image detail and cannot guarantee the target or institutional acceptance.
Frequently asked questions
Does merging also compress the file? No. Measure the merged PDF and compress only if needed.
Can I replace a digitally signed transcript with a screenshot? This workflow does not validate replacements for protected records. Ask the issuing institution or Mon Master and retain the original.
Must I rescan in black and white? Do not sacrifice information simply to reduce bytes. Start with the readable original; PDFMinto does not promise a colour-to-grayscale workflow.
What if the file is small enough but upload fails? Check the filename, required fields and the browser guidance in the official FAQ. A file-size tool cannot repair account or portal errors.
