Check the exact upload field
The 2026 USK PPS Prestasi registration form labels its identity upload “Upload KTP / Paspor” and requires PDF with a maximum size of 1 MB. Apply that rule to this field, not to every USK document or admission route.
The public field does not state a page count, resolution or exact byte definition for MB. Confirm which sides or passport pages your application needs with USK; do not infer that the whole passport, both identity documents or all application papers must be combined.
Start with a complete, readable scan
Keep the original and work on a copy. Check the document edges, photograph, name, identification number and small printed details. Retake scans with glare, blur or cropped content before changing the format. Compression cannot repair missing information.
Use only the pages required for the identity field. Do not remove required information, alter identity details or replace an official electronic original with screenshots. If you already have a readable PDF below the limit, no conversion is necessary.
Convert JPG or PNG scans to a real PDF
Open Images to PDF, select the relevant JPG or PNG scans, check their order and rotation, then create and download the PDF. Renaming a photo to .pdf does not convert it. A4 and fit-to-image layouts are available; inspect the result before deciding which is useful.
Image conversion runs in your browser. It does not perform OCR, remove glare, correct perspective or automatically crop a scan. The resulting PDF may be larger than its source images. PDFMinto accepts up to 40 files, 30 MB total input and 24 megapixels per image; these are tool limits, not USK requirements.
Reduce an oversized ordinary PDF
Open the compressor and choose your working PDF. Set a custom target of 0.95 MB, equal to 950,000 bytes in PDFMinto, as a suggested margin below 1 MB. This is our working target, not a new university rule. Start compression only if server processing is acceptable to you.
Read the actual result size and target status, then check the downloaded file size on your device. Selecting a target does not guarantee reaching it. The compressor accepts ordinary PDFs up to 30,000,000 bytes and 200 pages; already optimised PDFs may not shrink enough.
Check the exact file you will submit
Reopen the downloaded PDF. Compare page count, order and content with your original, and zoom in on numbers, small text and the photograph. Do not drop necessary pages or accept unreadable evidence merely to satisfy a size limit.
If the file remains too large or loses important detail, return to a clearer source scan or use the help contact on the official form. Once satisfied, return to the matching USK upload field and check its response. PDFMinto neither submits the application nor guarantees acceptance.
Privacy and files that should not be rewritten
Images to PDF is local to your browser. Compression sends the PDF to the server and temporarily uses private Vercel Blob storage. An identity scan contains personal information: read the privacy details and choose whether server processing is suitable before proceeding.
Do not use this workflow for encrypted, digitally signed or interactive-form PDFs; the compressor rejects them. Local PDF assembly tools additionally reject annotations, including links, and attachments. Keep protected originals and ask USK for an accepted alternative instead of stripping protections.
Frequently asked questions
Can I upload a JPG by changing its extension? No. Create an actual PDF and open it to verify the result.
Should I combine my transcript with the identity scan? No. Keep unrelated materials out of this identity field. Follow the separate instructions for each required document.
Is 0.95 MB an official requirement? No. It is an optional working margin; check the actual bytes and the current form.
Does this guide decide which passport pages are required? No. The public field does not specify them. Ask USK rather than removing or adding pages based on an assumption.
