UFES Undergraduate Replacement Diploma: PDFs up to 5 MB

Prepare identity and supporting scans for a UFES replacement diploma ticket: convert images to PDF, reduce oversized files and check every page before submission.

Checked 18 October 2026 against the UFES Prograd replacement diploma page. Applies to this ticket procedure; authenticated uploads were not tested. PDFMinto is independent of UFES.

1. Check the replacement diploma checklist

Prograd asks applicants to open a ticket and attach PDFs of up to 5 MB each. The checklist includes the request form, birth or marriage certificate, photo ID, CPF, GRU and payment receipt. A copy of the diploma, front and back, or another document with diploma information is optional. Read the current official instructions before preparing the attachments.

The published requirement does not specify a total upload allowance, maximum file count, page limit or a byte definition of MB. Check the ticket instructions for any further conditions. This guide concerns supporting files, not the creation or replacement of the university’s diploma.

This is the Prograd undergraduate procedure. Postgraduate replacement diplomas follow separate PRPPG instructions; do not apply this checklist to them.

2. Assemble an ordinary scan without losing information

Keep untouched originals. Scan all necessary sides and pages with the edges visible. Check names, identification numbers and stamps before converting. Keep separate document categories separate unless the ticket explicitly asks you to combine them.

For JPG or PNG pages, use Images to PDF, arrange the pages in reading order and download the result. For separate ordinary PDF pages of the same record, use Merge PDF. These tools run in your browser. Merging can make a file larger, so check the downloaded size.

3. Reduce an oversized supporting PDF

If an ordinary scan exceeds the limit, open Compress PDF and try a custom target of 4.8 MB. This is a suggested margin, not a UFES rule. PDFMinto uses decimal MB: 4.8 MB means 4,800,000 bytes. An explicit byte limit shown by the ticket takes precedence.

Compression uploads the file directly to the server; it is not browser-only processing. The input limit is 30 MB and 200 pages. Download the output and check its actual byte size. Choosing a target does not prove that the output met it.

Compare the compressed copy with the original. If small print becomes unreadable, keep the original and make a clearer source scan. Do not remove required pages or rasterize a whole PDF just to reach the target.

4. Check the files and attach them to the official ticket

Open every output page. Confirm the number and order of pages, both sides where needed, complete edges, legible names and numbers, and readable stamps. Check the payment receipt’s text if it is an ordinary scan. A file below the size limit can still be unsuitable.

Return to the ticket link on the official Prograd page. Attach the corresponding documents, inspect any preview or error message and keep the submission record. If a readable file is rejected, check the field’s conditions or contact Prograd before repeatedly compressing it. PDFMinto does not submit the request or guarantee acceptance.

Files to keep in their original form

Do not process digitally signed, encrypted or interactive-form PDFs. Browser PDF tools also reject annotations and embedded attachments. Preserve original electronic diplomas, official signed certificates and protected receipts. Ask Prograd how to submit an incompatible original; printing or converting it does not preserve a digital signature.

A scanned handwritten signature is different from a PDF digital signature. Complete the official request form according to its instructions; this workflow does not fill or sign it. Images to PDF and Merge PDF allow up to 40 inputs and 30 MB total, with a 200-page PDF limit and 24 megapixels per image. These are product limits, not UFES submission rules.

Frequently asked questions

Is 5 MB the limit for the entire ticket? The official page says up to 5 MB for each file. It does not establish a total allowance.

Should I merge all attachments? Keep each record separate unless the ticket tells you otherwise. Merge only the pages that belong together.

Can I compress the original digitally signed diploma? No. Preserve it and ask Prograd for the correct submission method.

What if compression cannot reach the target? Review the source scan and the output’s readability. Do not discard necessary information; ask the institution for an alternative if a complete readable file still cannot be submitted.
