GKS Undergraduate: Combine Documents for One Upload Item

Prepare one readable file for each GKS-U Embassy Track supporting-document item, while keeping separate categories separate.

Official online user guide checked 5 October 2026, pages 8 and 30–34. Follow the current announcement and embassy instructions. PDFMinto is independent of NIIED.

Check the item before merging

The GKS-U online guide covers the Embassy Track. It allows one file per supporting-document item and asks applicants to combine multiple documents belonging to that item. PDF is among the supported formats. Keep different items separate; do not combine the entire application.

The verified upload instructions do not specify a universal size limit. Use the actual portal field to decide whether compression is needed. Clear and complete documents are required.

Prepare ordinary scans

Keep originals. For JPG/PNG scans belonging to one item, open Images to PDF, put pages in the intended order and correct rotation. Download and inspect every page. This does not translate, certify or perform OCR.

For multiple ordinary PDFs in that item, open Merge PDF, arrange the files and download. Both tools work locally in the browser: up to 40 inputs, 30 MB total and 200 PDF pages; each image is limited to 24 megapixels.

Respect protected records and actual limits

Do not rewrite digitally signed, encrypted or interactive-form PDFs. Local PDF tools also reject annotations and attachments. Preserve protected originals and ask the issuing institution or embassy about an appropriate submission copy.

If the completed ordinary PDF exceeds a limit shown in your portal, try a custom target slightly below that limit. Compression uploads files to the server; input is limited to 30 MB and 200 pages. It may reduce image detail and cannot guarantee a target. Check the downloaded byte size.

Review before submitting

Compare output against the originals: page count, order, names, grades, seals and small text. Do not omit required pages or rasterize whole pages to force a smaller file. If details become unclear, improve the source scans.

Upload to the matching item yourself, then use the application preview. The guide warns that submitted applications cannot be edited. File preparation does not guarantee acceptance or replace later original-document requirements.

Frequently asked questions

Must all files be PDF? No. The official guide accepts other formats too. Use PDF when it suits a multi-page item; do not convert a compliant file without a reason.

Can I merge all categories to save time? No. The one-file instruction applies to each item.

Does this cover the University Track? No. Check the university’s own procedure.

Does a successful download prove compliance? No. Recheck actual bytes, readability, the current field and official requirements.
